Chicken Biryani

A mixed rice dish that originates from India. It can be made with any variety of protein, or as a vegetarian dish, replacing the protein with any variety of vegetables, like potatoes and squash. The dish involves different layers that, when baked, add flavor to all the levels. Serve as-is or with shorba, a gravy that complements biryani, and naan.



Prep: 15 minutes

Marinate: 1 hour, minimum

Cook: 45 minutes

Bake: 45 minutes

Rest: 15 minutes

Total: 3 hours, minimum

Serves: 8-10
